In Stapelfeld, we completed the heavy-duty hoist assembly on 10 August with the lifting of the drum. The 48.5-tonne boiler drum was placed in the new building of the Stapelfeld waste incineration plant at a height of over 40 metres using a 700-tonne crane.
A statement from our customer EEW Energy from Waste GmbH said:
"At this point we are continuing a tradition. A few but important plant components are inscribed with people's names. On the boiler drum, "Anke" is immortalised, one of our employees at EEW Stapelfeld, whom we would like to thank in this way for her hard work and her contribution to this success".
The welding of the individual boiler parts to each other is in full swing and the pipework assembly has begun. The air ducts are essentially already hanging in position and will be completed and welded in parallel. The same applies to the equipment in and around the boiler house.
"With this, we have been able to reach an important milestone on the way to the pressure test, despite difficult boundary conditions," are the words of our technical project manager Frank Clemens.
