As early as 17.07.2019 on the Kaunas job site in Lithuania the official boiler pressure test was successfully concluded together with the Notified Body. All pressure part weld seams proved their tightness at test pressures of up to 162 bar.
This milestone was celebrated on 09 August 2019 with all project participants at a pressure test celebration.
Following the questioning of the TÜV representative on the proper performance of the pressure test and the traditional reading out of the boiler saying, stamping of the boiler nameplate was performed by Messrs. Volkmar Schroth (TÜV Rheinland Berlin), Ramunas Paškauskas (CEO KKJ), Klaudijus Zilinskas (Plant Manager KKJ) and Edgaras Šablevičius (Project Manager EER).
In March 2017, Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH (SBG) secured the order for the construction of the new waste to energy plant in Kaunas, Lithuania. The new waste to energy plant is to produce electricity and heat through the thermal recycling of municipal waste and will feed it into the public grid of the city Kaunas.
