Standardkessel Baumgarte receives Notice to Proceed for biomass plant in Belgium

From Notice to Proceed to Provisional Acceptance in 24 months
After months of advance planning and pre-engineering, the Standardkessel Baumgarte team is pleased to announce the release of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which was issued on September 30th 2020 by our customer E-WOOD for the construction of a biomass cogeneration plant in Belgium. The completion of the turnkey E-Wood biomass plant is scheduled for October 2022 (Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC))

The E-Wood biomass plant will process around 150,000 tonnes of non-recyclable wood annually. The steam generator integrates a stationary fluidised bed combustor, which has clear advantages in terms of compliance with the required emission limits. In addition to the generation of 20 MWel, high-pressure steam will be generated for the ECLUSE plant steam network in the Waasland area in the port of Antwerp.
