History of the Standardkessel Baumgarte Group

Two companies with a long tradition that together can rely on more than 180 years of experience and expertise in boiler technology and power plant construction.

Since the foundation of the two family-owned companies Standardkessel and Baumgarte, the companies have already followed a comprehensive and far-reaching development path. From the small boiler manufacturer to the step to the water-tube high-pressure boiler to the plant manufacturer, the companies have constantly developed over the decades and today have become one of the leading turnkey suppliers for power plant systems for municipal and industrial energy supply.

 

We take you on a journey through our company history.

  • The "WRK" division starts with the delivery of a steam generator with a capacity of 2.5 t/h.

     

  • The medium-sized private company gets a strong partner and is prepared for upcoming major contracts.

     

  • The family business is setting
    the course for the future.
    Competitiveness is to be strengthened.

     

  • With the takeover by Metallgesellschaft, the Standardkessel Group now belongs to a large group.

     

  • From now on, all companies of the Standardkessel Group belong to Lentjes GmbH.

     

  • Metallgesellschaft is undergoing large-scale restructuring. In the process, MG also wants to divest itself of the entire plant construction business. HTP Investment B.V. takes over the entire Standardkessel Baumgarte Group.

     

  • With a management buy-out and the support of a Belgian partner, substantial shares of the group go to its own management.

     

  • The integration into a financially strong, globally active group of companies now opens up the possibility for us to realise large turnkey projects as a general contractor.

     

  • The Standardkessel-Baumgarte Group celebrates a big anniversary. Together, the two main companies have now been active in boiler and plant construction for 170 years.

     

  • Now the service area is also being prepared for an expanded range of tasks.

     

  • Both main companies are given a common name and merged into one powerful unit.

The Standardkessel Baumgarte Group is part of the globally active JFE Group. JFE Engineering Corporation is the parent company of the Standardkessel Baumgarte Group and is a wholly owned subsidiary of JFE Holdings, which is headquartered in Japan.
