Repeat order for the busines unit exhaust air and exhaust gas cleaning

SBG's exhaust air/ gas cleaning division is pleased to announce a further order for a catalytic exhaust air treatment system.

To ensure that no contaminated exhaust air is emitted into the atmosphere and that the production process safely complies with all environmental regulations, a catalytic oxidation system is again being used for exhaust air purification.

The principle of catalytic exhaust air treatment with recuperative heat recovery is based on the catalytic oxidation of volatile hydrocarbons (VOCs) with simultaneous heat recovery. The CatOx is a sustainable process due to the efficient use of the reaction heat. By using a highly efficient heat exchanger, auto-thermal operation is possible even at low VOC concentrations. Heat recovery is recuperative to ensure safe and reliable separation of exhaust air and clean air. The optimized control system ensures operation in a wide turndown range and at different VOC concentrations without additional energy. Each of the three units is designed for an exhaust airflow rate of 6700 Nm3/h. For SBG, this is the third plant after the first two orders in 2016 and 2020.

System with fully automatic control incl. remote access.

The plants are controlled fully automatically. Remote access is possible via a communication processor directly to the HMI. The commissioning of the second CatOx was therefore carried out in 'remote' mode already in summer 2021 during the pandemic from our office in Hamburg. ‘Remote'.

Remote' commissioning is also possible for the follow-up order. All customer-specific requirements and also the very high availabilities can be safely met. Remote access to the plant also enables optimal service during operation.
