On 13 February 2017 at the French location of Rambervillers the first boiler column for the future biomass-fired power plant was positioned. With that Standardkessel has reached the first important milestone in the handling of the project.
In the next step the complete steel supporting structure will be raised and the components will be placed on the various levels. Parallel to that the furnace will be pre-assembled and lifted into place. The next important milestone will be the boiler pressure test.
The project is proceeding according to schedule with all those involved. Due to the highly motivated project team we are looking forward with positive expectations to the further course of the project.
The biomass-fired power plant is in future to supply heat in the form of heated thermal oil and process steam as well as electricity to the adjacent chipboard plant.
