In April 2017, Baumgarte Boiler Systems GmbH secured the order from WELCRON Hantec Co. Ltd for the supply of the firing system for the new energy-from-waste plant in Seosan, South Korea.
This grate firing system for waste substances sets new standards as regards the thermal power capacity. The plant will have a maximum rated thermal input of 130 MWth and hence be the world’s largest plant of this type in the waste sector.
Baumgarte is pleased that with the successful entry to the market in South Korea it is not only setting technological standards but also able to grow further internationally and to thus extend its market presence also into the Asian market.
