Handover of the energy from waste power plant in Kaunas

July 2020

After a total handling time of round about three years, Standardkessel Baumgarte handed over the new energy from waste power plant in Kaunas, Lithuania, to the client UAB Kauno kogeneracine jegaine on schedule on 22.06.2020.

The new power plant utilizes municipal waste and has a combustion capacity of 270,000 t/a. With the energy gained, heat has been generated for the city of Kaunas and electric current has been fed into the public grid since April 2020. With a total output of 85 MWth and extremely ambitious steam parameters, the energy required is made available in an environmentally friendly manner.

We are pleased about the successful execution of the order and would like to thank our clients, our partners, and employees for the good cooperation.
