The biomass-fired power plant on Kauai has been in commercial operation since January 2016. The road to the completed plant involved many challenges for Standardkessel as the EPC supplier. A particular challenge in this case was the handling of the project on the opposite side of the globe with a time difference of 12 hours. It was a real test both for the team in Duisburg and for the local team.
