SBG lights first Fire in Dundee

March 2021

MVV Environment Baldovie Ltd awarded SBG with the contract as general contractor for the construction of the new Energy from Waste (EfW) plant, which shall replace an old fluidised bed combustion plant in the future. SBG relied on the proven air-cooled SBG pusher-type grate for the firing system.

Ignition of the first fire

On Tuesday, 16.03.2021, the grate firing system was successfully ignited for the first time using household waste. We would like to thank the entire team and look forward to the remaining commissioning work with confidence, despite the currently difficult Corona situation.
