INFRASERV GmbH Co. Höchst KG is constructing two new gas turbine plants as well as two downstream heat recovery steam generators in the Höchst Industrial Park. Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH secured the order for the supply and assembly of the two heat recovery steam generators (K7 + K8) incl. ancillary facilities.

By means of the future power plant, the supply infrastructure in the Höchst Industrial Park with process steam and electricity is to be further developed. The two new gas turbine plants have an output of 88 MW_el each. The two heat recovery steam generators will each generate up to 200 t/h of high-pressure steam and – depending on the load case – up to 22 t/h of low-pressure steam. 

The heat recovery steam generators are additionally equipped with a firing system that can be operated both in GT-heat recovery mode as an auxiliary firing system and on fresh air during operation without gas turbine. The switchover between the two modes of operation takes place in a so-called “flying takeover” within a few seconds and hence ensures continuous steam production also during the change of operating modes.

With more than 100 constructed heat recovery steam generators or combined gas and steam plants, Standardkessel Baumgarte has extensive references as well as decades of experience as a supplier of technology and a plant construction specialist.
