The licensee Sungjin Geotec Co. Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Posco Group that operates worldwide and, in Korea, manufactures, besides pressure vessels and shell boilers, modules for water-tube heat recovery boilers. Besides the likewise Korean company Techno SK Co. Ltd., which has also been a licensee for hot water generators and biomass-fired boilers since 2002, Sungjin Geotec has hence acquired what is now the third licence for the construction of heat recovery steam generators from Standardkessel GmbH.
The licence comprises heat recovery boilers of horizontal construction with an upstream gas turbine of 50 MWel to a maximum of 185 MWel.
