In July 2016 Standardkessel GmbH secured an order from Palm Paper Ltd. in King`s Lynn, United Kingdom for the construction of a heat recovery boiler.
At the King`s Lynn location Palm Paper Ltd. operates a paper mill for newsprint. This paper mill is currently supplied with steam from two shell boilers. In order to ensure an economical supply of electricity and steam to the paper mill, Standardkessel will construct a heat recovery boiler on the site. The new unit will be a constituent part of a combined heat and power cogeneration plant consisting of a gas turbine with a downstream two-circuit heat recovery boiler with auxiliary firing system. The fuel to be provided for the gas turbine and the auxiliary firing system is natural gas.
The company Palm Paper Ltd. is relying not only on Standardkessel’s technical competence and the know-how, but in particular also on their experience gained during the successful handling of projects in the United Kingdom.
