Standardkessel GmbH`s Catalytic Division secures order for a catalytic exhaust air cleaning system from the company Wallstein Thermal Equipment Co. Private Limited

The company Wallstein Ltd. is building up a new production facility in China with a huge number of extruding machines.

 

Wallstein is committed to protect the environment and to make sure that no polluted exhaust air is emitted at any time. Therefore, the exhaust air from the extruders is, at a low oxidation temperature, to be cleaned to the fixed emission limit value before it is discharged into the environment. 

 

Therefore, the company has requested Standardkessel GmbH to supply a catalytic exhaust air cleaning system for safe and environmentally friendly removal of the volatile organic compound. 

 

By the use of a catalyst the oxidation temperature is adjusted to the case of requirement and, by comparison with thermal oxidation, is lowered for the conversion of the organic compounds. The catalytic reaction releases thermal energy during oxidation. With the use of a highly efficient heat exchanger auto thermal operation is already possible at low VOC concentrations. Heat recovery takes place recuperative in order to ensure safe and reliable separation of exhaust air and clean air.

 

By means of an optimized control concept as a function of the VOC concentration, the plant, adapted to production operation¸ can be operated largely auto thermally, without any additional energy.

 

With the process, all of the customer-specific demands can be met, complying with our high quality standards, with optimum use of energy and high availability.
