True to the motto "All’s Well, that Ends Well", SBG hands over 3 waste heat boiler lines at the Marl site to the customer Siemens Energy.
Under difficult consitions, especially due to the Corona pandemic, we were now able to successfully commission the three waste heat boiler lines in Marl and hand them over to our customer, Siemens Energy GmbH.
The waste heat boiler lines are horizontally arranged and of suspended boiler steel construction. The burner systems each consist of 3 burners - mixing and individually controlling four different residual gases from chemical production plants and the turbine exhaust gas - and are integrated into the boiler front wall.
The new power plant units are operated by EVONIK Operations GmbH and are linked to the existing plants in such a way that an uninterrupted steam supply to the chemical park is ensured in the event of failure or shutdown of individual power plants.
At this point, we would like to thank the entire project team, which faced all the difficult tasks with remarkable dedication and passion and successfully completed them under sometimes extreme circumstances.
Our thanks also go in particular to our end customer EVONIK, our customer Siemens and our suppliers, who also made a significant contribution to the success of the project. Without the intensive and constructive cooperation of all those involved, the realisation of such a challenging project would not have been possible.
