SBG Specialist Seminar 2022

We review the specialist seminar

It was great to see you all again! We look back on two fantastic seminar days and would like to thank all participants and speakers.

The European Taxonomy Directive, the set of rules that will define which technologies are considered sustainable in the future, was the topic and content of this year's SBG specialist seminar. The aim is a comprehensive transition to a more sustainable economy. On day one, our speakers from associations, industry and operators were able to explain exactly what this means and share and exchange their experiences with our participants. This led to many exciting discussions about the current energy policy situation and the question of how all those affected are responding to the new directive and, of course, how they assess the current crisis and how they are dealing with it. Day two was also exciting, focusing on the taxonomy-compliant design of these plants and discussing solutions for this.

On the evening of the first day, our participants and speakers attended an evening event at the old coking plant of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen, where they were treated to an exciting guided tour through the history of the old coking plant. Of course, the evening was rounded off with a delicious buffet, cold drinks and good conversation.

Finally, we are delighted with the success of the 11th specialist seminar and are particularly pleased with the feedback from our participants and speakers, who would all like to come back again. We can only say: Thank you very much for your participation and your important feedback, without which we would not be able to organise and improve this specialist seminar year after year. Furthermore, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that the SBG specialist seminar will of course also take place next year – the date is 20–21 November 2023!

We don't want to say any more, but would like to conclude by inviting you to take a look at the event with our photos.

»Von Experten vorgetragene, aktuelle Themen in Kombination mit persönlichen Gesprächen mit anderen Teilnehmern sowie den Referenten erweitern den Blick auf das Ganze und geben neue Denkanstöße.«

Impressions from the 2022 specialist seminar
