New Business Alliance

Strengthening JFE Engineering's European Waste-to-Energy Platform

Juni 2026

The recently announced alliance between JFE Engineering and Switzerland-based EnergieLink represents an important milestone in the continued development of JFE Engineering's waste-to-energy business in Europe.

By combining JFE Engineering's expertise in engineering, technology and project execution with EnergieLink's established capabilities in after-sales services, maintenance, plant modernization and spare parts supply, the group is significantly expanding its service portfolio across the entire lifecycle of a waste-to-energy plant.

For Standardkessel Baumgarte (SBG), the partnership is a natural next step in the development of JFE Engineering's European business. As JFE Engineering's European base for waste-to-energy projects, SBG plays a central role in planning, engineering and delivery of future projects across the region. The addition of EnergieLink's service capabilities further enhances the group's ability to support customers long after plant commissioning.

The alliance also strengthens the position of JFE Engineering's international business in Europe. With a growing number of waste-to-energy facilities requiring modernization, efficiency improvements and long-term operational support, the demand for integrated lifecycle solutions continues to increase. Together, JFE Engineering, SBG and EnergieLink are well positioned to address these changing market requirements.

By bringing together complementary expertise in plant construction, technology, maintenance and modernization, the three companies are creating a stronger platform for sustainable growth in the European waste-to-energy market and delivering greater long-term value to customers.

With a shared commitment, we are building a sustainable future for Europe's waste-to-energy - delivering long-term value for our customers and the environment.
