First Combustion of Sewage Sludge successfully completed in Karlsruhe

April 2021

As part of the necessary modernization work of the combustion line 2 at the Karlsruhe site, Standardkessel Baumgarte was awarded the contract in June 2019 for the completion and commissioning of the combustion line.

Successfully Combustion of Sewage Sludge

After the boiler plant had passed the pressure test at a test pressure of 84.5 bar (g), the first sewage sludge could now be successfully dried and combusted.

"We are delighted to have reached this milestone and would like to thank all those who contributed to this success, especially our customer Stadtentwässerung Karlsruhe.“

Sven Dubbert, Projekt Manager Sewage Sludge Treatment

Despite the current Corona situation, we face the successful completion of the commissioning work with confidence.
