Hot Water Boiler Number 19 in South Korea

September 2017

For more than 14 years Standardkessel Baumgarte has provided hot-water boilers (HWB) to the South Korean market together with the company TSBTD Co., Ltd. as licensee. By now, the 19th contract has been awarded to our licensee.

The Standardkessel Baumgarte HWB is designed as a so-called Portaboiler (bi-drum boiler) fired with natural gas or light fuel oil. The main advantage is the very low pressure drop and consequently the savings on pump power consumption in the heating network. The delivered HWB primarily provide district heat to the network of the city Seoul. The clients are different local energy suppliers which operate the HWB at the power station site in combination with other co-generation plants. The HWB, ranging from a capacity of 23 MWth to 163 MWth, are usually covering peak load within the heating period.
We wish TSBTD Co., Ltd. and our other licensees in South Korea continued success.
