Hydraulic Pressure Test Celebration in Rambervillers

September 2017

As early as 07.06.2017 on the Rambervillers job site in France the official boiler pressure test was successfully concluded together with the Notified Body. About 9,800 pressure part weld seams proved their tightness at test pressures of up to 148 bar.

Within the scope of a hydraulic pressure test celebration this event was appropriately acknowledged on 1.9.2017. After the representative of the Technical Supervisory Agency (TÜV), Mr Dewenter, had been asked about the due and correct performance of the hydraulic pressure test and following the traditional reading out of the boiler nameplate saying, the stamping of the boiler nameplate was carried out by Mr Reid (Managing Director at EGGER Panneaux & Decors), Mr Chaarani (Project manager at EGGER), Mr Dewenter (Notified Body) and Mr Dahmen (Site manager from SBG).

The new steam generator fired with fresh wood and residual substances from chipboard production is a part of the new biomass-fired power plant with highly efficient cogeneration. The CHP plant will in the future generate, besides electricity from superheated steam, also saturated steam for thermal oil heating and process steam.
