In May 2016 Standardkessel GmbH secured an order from EGGER Panneaux & Decors in Rambervillers, France, for the construction of a steam generator for the new biomass-fired combined heat and power plant in Rambervillers.

The new steam generator is part of the new biomass-fired power plant with a highly efficient cogeneration system. The CHP will in future generate both heat, in the form of heated thermal oil and process steam, and electricity. The new steam generator in this case produces both saturated steam for thermal oil heating and superheated steam for electricity generation by means of a steam turbine generator. The exhaust steam from the turbine is utilized as process steam.

The fuels used are various wood wastes from production as well as a percentage of green wood prescribed by law. The steam generator is operated with a total of three different firing systems: moving grate firing system, direct firing system and dust burners. In this way the respectively optimum firing technology is used for the different types of production waste and the lowest emission values can be achieved.

EGGER relies on Standardkessel’s many years of experience and competence regarding the implementation of tailor-made boiler plants with complex tasks and for the combustion of different types of production waste from wood processing. In the past Standardkessel has already repeatedly supplied boiler plants for EGGER.
