Successful commissioning and handover of the condensation plant as part of a new chemical plant in Germany

December 2020

Standardkessel Baumgarte was commissioned in January 2019 to supply a condensation plant based on the principle of direct condensation.  After delivery and successful commissioning by Standardkessel Baumgarte, the plant was taken over by the operator in August 2020.

The plant is designed as a bath cooler, which is designed for a condensation temperature down to -25°C. The bath cooler is a direct contact apparatus for intensive heat and mass transfer. Up to 90% of the solvents from the exhaust air are recovered and can be returned to the production process. The residual content of solvents in the clean gas meets the requirements for discharge into the further cleaning stage.
