Successful first firing in Daesan

December 2020

Since the start of installation in March 2019, the Standardkessel Baumgarte team has been looking forward to the hot commissioning of the first Energy-from-Waste (EFW) project in South Korea.

Grate firing runs stably after the first ignition
At the beginning of October 2020, the first fire with the fuel BIO-SRF was now successfully ignited in Daesan (Korea). The grate firing system is running stably.

Despite the current difficult situation due to the Corona pandemic, the next milestone has now been reached with the prerequisites for regular operation, supported by the strong commitment of the SBG operators.

One of the largest plants of its kind
The Daesan plant was designed for 130 MW(th) and will thus be one of the largest plants of its kind. WELCRON Hantec Co. Ltd. chose the technology of Standardkessel Baumgarte for the supply of the water-cooled moving grate due to the excellent references in the field of EfW.
