At the site of DOW Benelux BV in Terneuzen, the largest production facility of DOW Chemicals outside the USA, the new boiler plant was integrated into an existing power plant structure. The new steam generator is used for the thermal utilisation of residual gases produced in production and for pressure protection of the steam network in the event of failure of the existing boiler plants and ensures the process steam supply at the production site.
After a four-week trial operation, the plant was taken over by E.ON Power Plants Belgium bv on 30 June 2020.
