Successful commissioning in Chalampe

After the ignition of the first fire, the plant is now in operation

August 2023

Great news from our construction site in Chalampé! The Energy Production Centre Chalampé (EPCC) is now operational after the ignition of the first SRF fire. We are happy to have reached this milestone together and are now optimistic about the home stretch of the project.

Despite the major challenges of the last few years, which still run through the execution process and which our team, suppliers, and client had to face repeatedly, we are now happy to have finally reached this milestone. Before we now enter the final sprint, we would already like to thank everyone involved for their unconditional commitment and hard work that has gone into the project, particularly in recent times.

»Together we have overcome the obstacles of the past years - especially the pandemic-related delays and interruptions in deliveries - and your dedication, creativity, and skills have made it possible for us to finally reach this milestone!«

Mario Gojun,

Project Manager

In a press release, Ralf Bohn, shareholder of our client B+T Group, also expressed pride in this step:

"Together we have worked intensively for more than five years towards this moment. Now the first private-sector RDF power plant in France has successfully gone into operation. Our contractual partner ALSACHIMIE is pleased with us about this forward-looking step and the reduction in dependence on gas for steam production for the chemical site. This is an outstanding achievement by all employees and a very good basis for appropriate future development of the B+T Group in France."

Before the transition to commercial operation, we will still carry out a performance test to prove that the plant is functioning in accordance with the contract.
