SBG sets first Column for a EfW Plant in France

August 2021

After Standardkessel Baumgarte (SBG) received the NTP for the realisation of the plant at the end of October 2020, the first support of the steel structure could now be placed in August 2021.

SBG continues to look positively at the further assembly and would like to thank our customer, our partners and the entire team, who made this important step possible through cooperative collaboration. This is another important milestone on the way to commissioning.

Avoiding greenhouse gas emissions: Existing power plants to be complemented by new EPCC (Energy Production Center Chalampé) energy-from-waste plant.

The existing natural gas-fired power plant park of ALSACHIMIE (a BASF and Domo Chemicals company) at the Chalampé industrial site will be supplemented by EPCC of B+T Energie France S.A.S. Substitute fuels from commercial and industrial waste and other solid waste fuels will reduce the use of natural gas as a fuel in the future. EPCC will feed part of the base load of the HP and LP steam demand of the chemical park into the existing steam network. ALSACHIMIE will integrate EPCC into the existing infrastructure of the chemical park.

B+T Energie France S.A.S. relied on the quality and experience of SBG.

For the successful implementation of this project, B+T Energie France S.A.S. relied on SBG's many years of experience in the field of Energy-from-Waste. SBG's reference plants in Bernburg, Weener and Bitterfeld were able to convince the customer B+T Energie France S.A.S..
