Energy from Waste Power Plant

Spremberg,
Germany

The task

For the energy supply of the Hamburger Rieger - Papierfabrik Spremberg, Spreerecycling GmbH & Co. KG is building a WtE combined heat and power plant. With the combined heat and power plant, the entire process steam requirement and, as far as possible, the electrical energy requirement is to be generated in-house with the residual materials from the paper production as well as with externally purchased waste. Standardkessel Baumgarte was awarded the contract to supply the firing system and the steam generator for the plant.

The solution

The integrative concept combines the water-cooled moving grate with the tailend boiler, consisting of the pusher type grate, two vertical radiation passes, tailend with the convection heating surfaces as well as vertical flow economizer heating surfaces.
