November 2021
On November 5, 2021, we successfully fired the burners of the auxiliary firing system at the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) 62 in Marl and started up the burners for the first time.
The auxiliary firing system makes it possible to increase the heat input into the HRSG and thus, together with the turbine exhaust gases, to generate a steam quantity of 226 t/h. In addition, the auxiliary firing can also be operated in pure fresh-air mode, achieving a steam output of 200 t/h without gas turbine operation.
In addition, on November 13th, 2021 we successfully completed the further milestones "Pressure test of fuel gas lines HRSG 61" and "NH3 lines HRSG 62 and 61".
Our thanks go to our customers Siemens and Evonik for their cooperative collaboration as well as to all our colleagues in the project, especially our commissioning and installation team, who face the constantly growing challenges on site every day, also with regard to the parallel activities of all three HRSGs 62, 61 and 71.
