Advanced notice

The efficient and sustainable use of energy is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Medium-sized industrial and municipal power plants and waste disposal facilities have to meet special requirements. The volatile electricity and heat market as well as the legal subsidy options for new plants place high demands on the design of these plants. In this context, it is not only important to meet the electricity and heat requirements and to use resource-saving fuels or energy sources, but also to deal comprehensively with the tasks of the funding mechanisms. The CHP Act plays an important role in this context and sets the framework conditions for investments until 2025 and possibly even beyond.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

One of the greatest challenges of our time is the efficient and sustainable use of energy. Particular demands are placed on medium-sized industrial and municipal power plants and waste disposal facilities.

Already in the design phase of these plants, the requirements of the volatile electricity and heat market, as well as the legal subsidy possibilities for new plants, place high demands on the plant conception. In this context, it is not only necessary to meet the electricity and heat supply requirements and to use resource-saving fuels or energy sources, but also to deal comprehensively with the requirements of the subsidy mechanisms, e.g. for combined heat and power generation. However, the decision to phase out coal and decarbonise the energy supply is also playing an increasingly important role and sets the framework conditions for investments until 2025 and possibly even beyond.

This year's Standardkessel Baumgarte seminar deals with precisely this topic. Presentations by operators, engineering offices, suppliers as well as trade associations will show experiences and solution approaches for the conceptual design of power plants.

We look forward to your participation!
